Daniela CAMMARANO, violonist

Daniela Cammarano began learning to play violin at the age of four and has appeared in Argentina, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States performing as soloist, chamber musician and with
orchestras.

Daniela Cammarano has performed in orchestras such as RAI Symphonic Orchestra,Turin; Teatro San Carlo, Naples (concertino / concert master; principal second violin); Fenice Theatre, Venice; Filarmonica della Scala (concertino ); Lyrical Theatre, Cagliari (concertmaster); Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra, Palermo (concertmaster); Opera Theatre, Rome (concertino / concertmaster, principal second violin), Scala Theatre (concertino)...
Daniela Cammarano has appeared as soloist with the Sibiu Philharmonic (Romania), the Botosani Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), the Solisti Aquilani (Italy), and the Milan Conservatory Philharmonic (Italy).

Daniela has been invited to appear as guest artist with ensembles and festivals such as the Milan Concerts Association, Florence Friends of Music, the Italian Embassy of Zurich (Switzerland), the Vicar’s Residence (Rome, Italy), Festival de Louberon (France), Friends of Music Altea (Spain), Turin Musician’s Union, Friends of Music Piacenza, Lake Orta Festival, Como Musical Autumn, Bologna Music Ensemble and the Dolomites Sound Festival.
In addition, she has performed in major halls such as La Pergola (Florence), Sala Verdi (Milan), Alti Hall (Kyoto, Japan), St. Giovanni in Laterano Basilica (Rome), Dal Verme Theatre (Milan), Villa Rufolo (Ravello, Italy), Lauro Rossi Theatre (Macerata, Italy), Eminescu Theatre (Bolgna), Manzoni Theatre (Bologna) and Music Park (Rome).

As a chamber musician with the Fiesole Quartet Daniela has performed with Pietro De Maria, Kostantin Bogino, Fabio Bidini, Andrea Lucchesini, Gabriele Ragghianti, Giovanni Riccucci, Aandrea Nannoni, Oleksandr Semchuck, Danilo Rossi and Paolo Beltramini.

She often performs with Alessandro Deljavan with whom she has recorded extensively for the Aevea, Brilliant Classics and Onclassical labels. 2015 will see the release of two albums: the Complete Piano/String works of Taneyev, and the Complete Violin Sonatas of Grieg, both for Aevea.

Other artists she has performed with include Paul Gulda, Sylvie Gazeau, Alessandro Carbonare, Giuseppe Andaloro, Simonide Braconi, Enrico Bronzi and Bruno Canino

Daneila Cammarano graduated from the Conservatorio di Milano where she studied with M°Gigino Maestri.
She has participated in master classes with Massimo Quarta, Shlomo Mintz, Marco Rizzi, William Grant Noboré, John Perry, Peter Frankl and Gunter Pichler.
Daniela currently is on the violin faculty at the Conservatory of Music Antonio Scontrino in Trapani, Italy.

Alessandro DELJAVAN, pianist

Reviews at the 2009 “Van Cliburn International Piano Competition” (Texas-USA) confirmed what critics around the globe have been saying for years: that italian pianist Alessandro Deljavan is one of the most accomplished and charismatic musicians of his generation.

At the age of 22, Deljavan not only became an instant favorite among audiences and critics at one of the most prestigious piano competition in the world, but garnered accolades from the jury as well, capturing the first-ever “John Giordano Jury Discretionary Award” for his outstanding performances of solo and chamber music.

Fresh off his success in Fort Worth, Alessandro Deljavan took part in piano and chamber festivals in Vancouver, Buenos Aires and across Europe in the 2009-2010, concluding the triumphantly year with a solo exclusive concert organized by the “International Piano Association”, Switzerland, as part of the prestigious series Celebrating Chopin”. His participation in the celebrations of Chopin and Liszt, during the bicentenary of the birth of both composer, continue in 2011 in several European countries and overseas. His performances had been broadcast live on European radios.

He began studying piano in 1989, not even 2 years old, making his debut the following year , he graduated in piano at age 16 at the “G Verdi” Conservatory, Milan. In over 15 years of concert activity , has been applauded in the major theaters around the world, Austria, Italy, Argentina, Belgium, South Korea, France, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Russia and the United States.

In 2005, he awarded at the “Gina Bachauer Young Artists Competition” in Salt Lake City , USA, was a semifinalist at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition and won second prize at the Johann Nepomuk Hummel International Piano Competition in Bratislava where receiving also the “Award for the best performance” of the required piece.

Alessandro Deljavan recorded his first CD at the age of 15 for the Stradivarius label. While still a child, he took top prizes at several national and international Piano Competitions and has since performed throughout Italy, as well as France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, United States.

Throughout the 1990s, while still a youngster, Deljavan played in the most important cities of Italy and around the world. He competed in numerous national and international competitions , often capturing first prize, including top honors as “Virtuoso” at the 1996
“Concours musical de France” in Paris. Since 1993, he has taken part in the Mozarteum courses in Salzburg, the Festival of the Nations at Città di Castello , and the O. Respighi Foundation on the isle of St.George in Venice. Deljavan is a superior collaborative musician and enjoys conducting while performing with an orchestra.

The chamber music specialist has played with such world-renowned ensembles as the Takacs Quartet , the Sine Nomine Quartet , the Orchestra Sinfonica Verdi (with which he also conducted) , plays for more than 10 years with numerous ensembles from duo to quintet , and 2 years is a member of the “Trio Bettinelli” and Duo born from the collaboration with violinist Daniela Cammarano.

Deljavan is among the selected young artists attending the “International Piano Academy Lake Como”, Italy , and “International Piano Foundation Theo Lieven”, Suisse, one of the most famous in the world, where he meets regularly very prestigious personalities such as Dimitri Bashkirov, Laurent Boullet, Peter Frankl, Fou Ts’ong, Dominique Merlet, John Perry, Menahem Pressler, Andreas Staier.

At present, Alessandro Deljavan, is a “Theo Lieven” Scholar” at the University of Music at the Conservatory of Lugano where he is a student of William Grant Nabore. His most recent award to the “International Piano Competition Isang Youn” (Korea) in November 2010 will take him to a tour in Asia in 2011. He has recorded for Naxos, Briliant, Stradivarius, OnClassical works of Brahms, Busoni, Cramer, Satie, Schubert snd Schumann. With Kissin, Pappano, Rosen, he will star in a film about Liszt, produced and broadcast by Italian RAI TV.

In April 2011 , he played in the Quirinale, the residence of Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, in that same month he made his debut in Russia with the world famous Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra playing the Piano Concerto No.1 by Brahms. There will be published, soon, a unique book written by Antonio Murgia where you can read interesting pages of his artistic life. From several years, leads master classes in piano and chamber music in Italy and Europe. Since 2010 is professor of piano at the Conservatory E. R. Duni – Matera, Italy .

He is currently professor of piano at the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory of Bari, Italy. In addition, in the fall of 2015 Alessandro begins his appointment as professor of piano at the Academia Vivaldi in Locarno, Switzerland. Deljavan’s life is dedicated to the art of music- making and to helping the audience fall in love every time he plays with the music for which he is so passionate.
