Chloé Meyzie is a passionate musician and born leader renowned for her energy and ability to lead the orchestra with “inspiration, precision and a clear and bright vision”.

During the 24-25 season, Chloé is invited by the Orchestre National de Bretagne, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Limoges, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Orchestre du Pays-Basque, and the Ensemble entre Sable et Ciel. This season, she will join the 1001 Notes Festival as the new musical director of the symphony orchestra.

As a versatile artist, she conducts operas, symphonic repertoires, jazz and world music projects. She will make her debut at the historical Salle Gaveau in Paris with an original project: an “electro-symphonic odyssey” in collaboration with the beatmaker Degiheugi.

In 2023, she was selected by Cristian Măcelaru to take part in the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz (California/USA) as associate conductor, and in the masterclass with the Romanian Chamber Orchestra in Timișoara (Romania). « Conductor of fiery energy », she was awarded the “Trophée Joséphine” by the Pays de la Loire Region / French State. She was a semi-finalist in the Siemens-Hallé Conductors Competition in Manchester (UK). She also was a prizewinner at the 2021 Bucharest International Conducting Competition, where she won the BMI Award (Bucharest Music Institut), and at the 2019 Danube Conducting Competition in Budapest.

In 2021, she was appointed artistic and musical director of the multifaceted professional symphony orchestra of the Ensemble Instrumental de la Mayenne.

Chloé is committed to large-scale projects. In early 2021, she became the project manager of the Labopéra Périgord-Dordogne, a collaborative opera company included in the national network of La Fabrique Opéra. She conducted Carmen by Bizet (2022), La Traviata by Verdi (2023) and West Side Story by Bernstein (2024), which had a huge success with an audience of over 23.000 people! For the next season, she will conduct Nabucco (April 2025).

In recent years, she has collaborated with numerous festivals and conducted orchestras in Europe. Among them are the Orchestre Colonne (Paris), the Danubia Orchestra Obuda (Hungary), the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, the Romanian Chamber Orchestra and the Camerata Regala (Romania), the Orchestre National de Bretagne, the orchestra of the Opéra de Massy-Paris Sud, the Orchestre Philharmonique de l’Oise, the festival La Folle Journée de Nantes, Ma région virtuose, the Festival international de violoncelle de Beauvais, Les Nuits de la Mayenne and the festival Music in the Alps (Austria).

Chloé has been selected for masterclasses with renowned conductors such as Cristian Măcelaru, Marin Alsop, Peter Eötvös, Jorma Panula, Christian Ehwald and Riccardo Frizza.

She completed her conducting studies in Paris. She also graduated in musicology with a PhD (at Université Paris-Sorbonne and Université de Tours, France).
